I’m Kate, the founder of Sweet Home CupKate.
My journey with baking began very early. I made my very first cake at the age of five — for my own birthday. It was a chocolate cake. And yes, it was absolutely edible.
Over the years, baking became part of my everyday life. I baked for friends and family — often “just because,” often late at night, and always with joy. What began as a home-kitchen hobby gradually grew into a true craft shaped by practice, mistakes, and countless tested recipes.
For more than eight years, I’ve been developing my skills as a home baker. All of my recipes are carefully tested, refined, and thoughtfully modernized to meet today’s standards of quality, balance, and flavor. In 2025, I launched CupKate as a startup, hoping to turn what I love most into the work of my life.
I was born and raised in Ukraine, where I became deeply familiar with European pastry traditions. Today, I am based in the United States, where I continue to grow professionally and work with American desserts and techniques. This experience allows me to create cakes with European-level balance and refined sweetness, even when working with classic American recipes.
My desserts are intentionally less sweet than traditional American versions, focusing on harmony of flavor, texture, and natural ingredients — without losing the character of the original dessert.
CupKate is not a traditional business. It is a craft of the heart.
I work exclusively with natural, high-quality, and organic ingredients. All decorations are handcrafted by me, and every cake is created individually for a special occasion.
My work is supported by required food safety certifications, including Food Protection Manager and Allergen Awareness. Every dessert is prepared responsibly, with care and respect for quality.
Today, I understand that the small spark that lit up inside a five-year-old girl has grown into a passion — and the work of my life.
